Billing
A resource is billed for each hour started, from its creation to its deletion, up to its monthly price. The invoice for a month goes out on the first of the next.
The unit
The unit of billing is an hour started. A resource’s hours run from the moment it exists until you delete it. A resource that exists for 61 minutes is billed for two hours.
There is no minimum term and no notice period. A resource is billed up to the hour in which you delete it.
Rates and monthly prices
Each plan and each item has two prices. The rate is the price of one hour of it. The monthly price is the most a month of it costs.
A resource’s charge for a month is its hours times its rate, or its monthly price when that is lower.
| Resource | Unit | An hour | Most a month |
|---|---|---|---|
Server, s-2 plan | per server | €0.0100 | €6.49 |
Server, d-4 plan | per server | €0.0450 | €29.90 |
| Volume | per GB | €0.0001 | €0.05 |
| Snapshot | per GB | €0.0001 | €0.02 |
| Floating IPv4 | per address | €0.0030 | €1.99 |
Load balancer, lb-1 | per balancer | €0.0080 | €5.49 |
Daily backups of a server cost 20% of the server’s price. Every other price is on the pricing page and at GET /v1/prices. Prices exclude VAT and are the same in every region.
A worked example
You create web-1 on the s-2 plan on 10 October at 14:20. You delete it on 20 October at 09:05.
- The server exists for 234 hours and 45 minutes.
- The last hour has started, so it counts in full, which makes 235 hours.
- Each hour costs €0.0100, the rate of the
s-2plan. - 235 hours at that rate come to less than €6.49, the plan’s monthly price.
October’s invoice charges web-1 for 235 hours at the s-2 rate. An s-2 server that exists for all 744 hours of October reaches the monthly price before the month ends. Its line on the invoice shows €6.49.
The calculator on the pricing page does the same sum for any plan and any number of hours.
Running or stopped
A stopped server keeps its disk, its addresses and its place on a host, so it is billed as running. A volume is billed whether or not it is attached to a server. Billing ends only when the resource is deleted.
To keep a server’s disk without the server, take a snapshot and delete the server. The snapshot costs €0.0001 per GB an hour, up to €0.02 per GB a month.
Traffic
Each server includes 20 TB of outbound traffic a month. The allowances of a project’s servers form one pool, so a busy server draws on a quiet one’s share. Each further TB beyond the pool costs €1.00.
Inbound traffic is not counted, and neither is traffic on a private network. Downloads from object storage count toward the pool.
What is not billed
- Private networks and the traffic inside them.
- Firewalls and DNS zones and records.
- Inbound traffic and IPv6 addresses.
- The standard Kubernetes control plane.
- The API,
lcand the Terraform provider.
Invoices and payment
The invoice for a month goes out on the first of the next month. It lists each project, then each resource with its hours and its total. You pay by card or by SEPA direct debit, which is charged when the invoice goes out.
Usage from the API
The console’s Billing page shows the month so far, resource by resource. GET /v1/usage returns the same lines for any month, and the invoice uses the same figures:
$ curl -s "https://api.logi-ciel.co/v1/usage?month=2026-10" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LC_TOKEN" \
| jq -r '.lines[] | "\(.resource) \(.hours)"'
web-1 235
data-1 235
Each line also carries the resource’s plan or item, its rate and its cost so far, before VAT. The API page shows how to create the token.
