Who we are
logi-ciel is an independent cloud provider in the European Union. It rents out servers, storage, databases and networks in 6 regions, from Tallinn to Lisbon. The company belongs to the people who work in it. No investor or parent company outside the EU holds a share or sets its plans.
Each product does one job and has a spec sheet: what it is, where it runs and what it costs. Each one is in the console, the API, lc and the Terraform provider.
What we publish
We publish the figures we use to run the platform. Each region’s page shows its round trips to the others, its share of renewable power and its PUE. The status page keeps every incident with its region, its service and how many minutes it lasted. The changelog lists each change you can see, by date.
The API returns the same figures, and this site reads them from it:
$ curl -s https://api.logi-ciel.co/v1/regions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LC_TOKEN" | jq -c '.latency[0]'
{"a":"ee1","b":"lv1","ms":5}
A round trip is the median over the private network for the last seven days. Tallinn to Riga is 5 ms, and Tallinn to Lisbon is 58 ms.
How the company works
We own our hardware and run it in rented space at one data centre in each region. One team designs the platform, operates it and answers support. A ticket reaches an engineer who works on the platform, and the reply comes within four hours.
We keep the product list short on purpose. A product joins it when it fits beside the others and when we can run it for years.
Where your data lives
Your data stays in the region you choose, and we copy it to another region only when you do. The company, its data centres and its staff are all inside the EU. EU law decides who may ask for your data, and the data processing agreement sets out how we handle it.
What we publish
Six records, open to anyone.
Each record below is on this site and behind a public API call. The site reads its own figures from the same API.
The price list
Every plan and item, the same in each region, at
GET /v1/prices. A price rises only after 30 days’ notice.Round trips
The median between each pair of regions over seven days, at
GET /v1/regions. Tallinn to Riga is 5 ms.Power and PUE
Each region’s share of renewable power and its PUE, from 1.12 in Copenhagen to 1.28 in Milan.
Create to SSH
The median from create to SSH for an
s-2server inee1, over 30 days, is 38 seconds.Incidents
Every incident stays on the status page with its region, its service and its minutes, and at
GET /v1/status/incidents.Changes
Each change you can see in the console, the API or an invoice, by date, at
GET /v1/changelog.
Check each figure against the API.
This site reads its prices, round trips and incidents from the public API. A project’s token reads the same figures.
